Introducing the absolutely sensational Ray Taylor Swing Band, a band that is a classy swing/jazz band, that is both versatile and dynamic.
The Preston based band plays a wide variety of popular hits from early swing, easy listening, pop and modern big band, spanning the 1920s to the modern day.
The Ray Taylor Swing Band was formed in the summer of 2005 in Lostock Hall. It was initially formed to try out new arrangements that Ray had bought earlier in the year. It was to be a four week scheme to expand the repertoire of bands in the north-west that Ray was playing in. The band proved to be a massive success and, at the request of many musicians, we continued rehearsals for the rest of the year.
By January 2006 the band had attracted the top leading musicians throughout Lancashire. The band's first engagement was for the University of central Lancashire's Graduation Ball at the 53 Degrees venue in Preston and was a huge success. Since then the band has been in big demand, playing for birthdays, weddings, 40s nights, dances and mayoral functions, proving to be the perfect choice of entertainment.
