Nigel Geer and his medieval friends will give you a real night to remember. Nigel is Henry VIII, and along with Lady Jane, The Executioner, and the Village Idiot / Jester this is one riotous evening of entertainment. Music plays as guests are arriving and the cast will meet and greet for photographs taking place prior to the meal. When guests take their place at table, we will have a 10-15 minute warm up, getting audience acclimatized and participating. Once the meal is under way, Lady Jane will do the Fal-der-als and sing-a-long songs of the period, interspersed with music from Henry and the Village Idiot who is also a percussionist.
In between meal course's the Executioner might do single spots instead of doing his whole act at one time this will depend on the audience and the way the food is served etc all to be decided "on the hoof " to provide maximum effect.
The Medieval Banquet includes music from the era, A hunting we will go, In the month of Maying, Scarborough Fair and King Henry's own composition Green sleeves.
King Henry supplies the background music on accordion and keyboard interspersed shade. Culminating in duets like "The Keeper" and "Strawberry Fair" The Executioner starts out:  Body burning, Fire burning ,Fire eating, A Bed of Glass, A Bed of Nails, A Bed of swords, Walking up and down a ladder of Swords with the optional Knife throwing and Axe throwing to a fixed board, (with audience participation if they Volunteer.) This usually happen during the courses of the set meal introduced by Henry, who's Village Idiot is available to liaise with the Chef or Manager/ess and also assists the Executioner in his act.(he's also the percussionist) when he's not working the audience. The audience is usually divided into Kingdoms/Shires or Counties etc which ever should be appropriate to provide an atmosphere and team spirit for the games that take place.
