Chris Blackburn produces a fantastic one man 80’s tribute show. He started playing drums and singing around the cabaret clubs of the Northwest, as part of a duo with his dad. At 16 he joined an established original rock band from Liverpool, as a drummer/ backing vocalist, and went on to support some major rock bands, wich then led to working with members of China Crisis, Black, and Oceanic, as well as sessioning for bands who had seen him on the rock circuit. He also had a release on Ebony records, as well as showcasing for Chrysalis records.
Chris’s 80's tribute show is extremely visual and is creating a lot of interest. Not only does he sing on the mic at the front of the stage, he plays the drums and tambourine like you've never seen. He also performs vocals whilst playing a live electronic drum kit to classics such as In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins and Are Friends Electric by Gary Numan.
Fully self-contained, with quality lights and P.A. system, chris has Public Liability Insurance and all equipment is P.A.T. tested. He has his own transport and is punctual and reliable.
Chris’s 80’s tribute show incorporates songs from The Buggles, Paul Young, Frankie goes to Hollywood, Bon Jovi, Harold Faltimire, Rem, Duran Duran, The Thompson Twins, Billy Idol, Cutting Crew, Howard Jones, Deacon Blue, The Eurythmics, Starship, Kristy MacColl, It Bites, Gloria Estefan, U2, Mr Mister, The Police, Europe, Prince, Adam and the ants, Chris Isaak, Culture Club, Art of Noise, Nick Kershaw, Cameo, Adamski/Seal and many more.
